BREAKING: Jimmy Butler Ejected From Heat-Pelicans Game
UPDATE: The Heat won by a score of 106-95, and Bam Adebayo led the way with 24 points.
On Friday evening, the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans are playing in Louisiana.
During the fourth quarter, there was a big scuffle that involved several players.
Naji Marshall appeared to choke Jimmy Butler.
Following the drama, four players were ejected from the game.
Via Christian Clark of Nola.com: "Four players ejected. Jimmy Butler and Thomas Bryant for Miami. Jose Alvarado and Naji Marshall for New Orleans. Multiple fans got tossed too."
Butler, who is the most notable of those ejected, finished his night with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block while shooting 7/12 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.
The Heat came into the evening as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-25 record in 55 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games.
Following the Pelicans, the Heat will travel to California for a matchup with De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings on Monday evening.
As for the Pelicans, they are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-22 record in 56 games.
They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are an impressive 8-2 over their last ten games.
Following the Heat, the Pelicans will remain in New Orleans to host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
