BREAKING: Jimmy Butler's Updated Status For Heat-Hawks Game
On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Georgia to face off with the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.
For the game, they will be without their best player, as Jimmy Butler has been ruled out due to personal reasons.
Via Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald: "Jimmy Butler is not in Atlanta and will miss tonight's game vs. Hawks because of personal family reasons. Butler could possibly return for tomorrow's game in San Antonio."
Butler has played in seven games this season and is averaging 18.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.2% from the field and 50.0% from the three-point range.
The Heat have gone 4-4 in their first eight games, which has them tied for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and most recently defeated the Memphis Grizzlies (on the road) by a score of 108-102.
Butler had 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals while shooting 5/13 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.
Following the Hawks, the Heat will play their next game against the San Antonio Spurs (in Texas) on Sunday evening.
As for the Hawks, they are 5-3 in their first eight games, which has them tied for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Most recently, they played the Orlando Magic in Mexico City and won by a score of 120-119.
Following the Heat, they will play the Detroit Pistons in Michigan on Tuesday.
