UPDATE: LeBron James also moved up on the NBA's all-time triple-doubles list.

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Sacramento Kings in California. 

During the game, LeBron James made exciting NBA history by moving up on the all-time three-pointers made list

James came into the night with 2,280 career three-pointers, and he has now moved ahead of Jason Terry (2,282) for eighth on the list.

The next player for him to pass will be Vince Carter (2,290).

James entered the matchup with averages of 24.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 56.7% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range in ten games. 

Even at 38, he is still among the top ten players in the league and will likely make his 20th straight NBA All-Star Game this season. 

As for the Lakers, they are 6-5 in their first 11 games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

They most recently defeated the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 134-107.

James played 23 minutes and had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals while shooting 6/8 from the field and 3/4 from the three-point range. 

Following the Kings, the Lakers will play their next game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday evening in Oregon. 

James is in his 21st season in the NBA and has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 50.5% from the field and 34.5% from the three-point range.
