BREAKING: Adam Silver Reveals Latest On Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant /

Last month, Memphis Grizzlies All-Star point guard Ja Morant was suspended by the team after a video went viral of him allegedly holding a gun.

The former Murray State star was suspended by the NBA (for eight games) during the regular season due to a similar incident.

While it's been over two weeks since the latest development occurred, the NBA has not announced his punishment.

On Thursday night, NBA commissioner Adam Silver revealed the latest on the subject when he met with the media (before Game 1 of the NBA Finals).

Silver: "We've uncovered a fair amount of additional information, I think, since I was still asked about the situation. I would say we probably could have brought it to a head now, but we made the decision, and I believe the Player's Association agrees with us, that it would be unfair to these players and these teams in the middle of the series to announce the results of that investigation."

Silver later said: "My sense now is that shortly after the conclusion of the Finals, we will announce the outcome of that investigation."

Morant is coming off another sensational regular season where he averaged 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field.

The Grizzlies went 51-31 and were the second seed in the Western Conference (for the second consecutive season).

However, they lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

The two-time NBA All-Star has remained relatively quiet on social media following the incident, but he did post several photos to Instagram last month that raised a concern.

TMZ Sports reported that police checked on him at his Tennessee home.
