According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the New York Knicks are making a trade with the Detroit Pistons.

UPDATE: The trade is official.  

UPDATE: ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Ryan Arcidiacono is also going to the Pistons.   

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium also reports that the Knicks are acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic in the deal. 

Bogdanovic is averaging 20.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 41.5% from the three-point range.  

Via Charania: "Sources: 

Knicks receive Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from Pistons for Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn and two second-round picks."

The New York Knicks have been one of the best teams in the NBA this season, and they will have a legitimate chance to reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

On Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the team is making an upgrade to its roster by acquiring Alec Burks in a deal with the Detroit Pistons

Via Charania: "The Knicks are trading package around Quentin Grimes to Pistons for Alec Burks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

Burks is averaging 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 39.4% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point range in 43 games. 

He is in his 13th season in the NBA and has also spent time with the Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings (and Knicks). 

Over 130 regular season games with New York, Burks averaged 12.1 points per contest while shooting 40.8% from the three-point range. 

As for the Knicks, they are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-18 record in 51 games. 

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and an outstanding 19-6 in 25 games played at Madison Square Garden.
