Charlie Brown Jr. most recently played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season when he was a member of the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Over 22 regular season games, he averaged 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.

This summer, he was a free agent, and on September 8, the New York Knicks announced that they had signed the 26-year-old (h/t HoopsRumors).

Via Knicks PR: "The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard Charlie Brown Jr. to an Exhibit 10 contract."

Since it's an Exhibit 10 deal, the Knicks will likely bring Brown Jr. into training camp and if he doesn't make the roster, he could go to their G League team.

This past year, Brown Jr. played in 32 G League regular season games with averages of 13.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 53.0% from the field (he also appeared in 15 Showcase Cup games and four G League playoff games).

In addition to his time in the NBA with the Mavs and 76ers, he has also played for the Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Over three seasons, Brown Jr. has career averages of 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 28.7% from the field in 41 regular season games.

As for the Knicks, they are coming off a year where they were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in the second round.
