BREAKING: Pacers And Spurs Reportedly Make A Trade

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs made a trade.

UPDATE: The trade is official.     

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported more details. 

Via Charania: "The Pacers are trading Marcus Morris, a second-round pick and cash to the Spurs for Doug McDermott, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

On Thursday evening, the San Antonio Spurs will be in Florida to face off against the Orlando Magic.     

Before the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Spurs have made a trade with the Indiana Pacers. 

Via Wojnarowski: "The Spurs are trading Doug McDermott to the Pacers, sources tell ESPN."

Via Wojnarowski: "The Pacers will send the Spurs a future second-round pick, per source."

McDermott is averaging 6.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 43.9% from the three-point range in 46 games. 

In addition to the Spurs, he has also spent time with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder (and Pacers). 

Over 212 regular season games with the Pacers, McDermott averaged 10.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 50.7% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range.  

Right now, the Pacers are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 29-23 record in 52 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

On Thursday evening, the Pacers will host the Golden State Warriors. 

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with a 10-41 record in 51 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game losing streak.
