BREAKING: Rockets Reportedly Sign Recent Hawks Player

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Houston Rockets are signing Aaron Holiday.

Aaron Holiday has been a solid backup point guard over his five seasons in the NBA.

This past year, the former UCLA star played for the Atlanta Hawks and averaged 3.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 41.8% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point range in 63 regular season games.

On Thursday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Holiday is signing with the Houston Rockets.

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent G Aaron Holiday has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets, sources tell ESPN."

In addition to the Hawks, Holiday has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers (he was the 23rd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft).

His career averages are 6.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.3% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range in 308 regular season games (he has also played in 14 NBA Playoff games).

This past year, the Hawks were the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference but lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs (in six games).

As for the Rockets, they were tied with the San Antonio Spurs for the second-worst record in the NBA (22-60).

They have missed the Playoffs for three straight seasons, but there is young talent on the roster.

In addition, the Rockets have been among the most active teams during the offseason and have made significant additions, such as Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks
