BREAKING: Steph Curry Made NBA History In Cavs-Warriors Game
On Saturday evening, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
Curry is off to a sensational start to the new season, and during Saturday's game, he made NBA history.
Via Warriors PR: "Stephen Curry is the 35th player in NBA history to reach the 22,000-point mark for his career."
Curry currently ranks 35th on the all-time scoring list, and the next player for him to pass will be Clyde Drexler (22,195).
Curry came into the evening with fantastic averages of 30.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 51.2% from the field and 47.3% from the three-point range in nine games.
The Warriors are 6-3 in their first nine games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
Most recently, they lost to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 108-105, and Curry had 23 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 6/17 from the field in 34 minutes.
Even at 35 (and in his 15th season), Curry still remains among the best players in the NBA and has shown no signs of slowing down.
Last season, the two-time MVP averaged 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range in 56 games.
Following the Cavs, the Warriors will play their next game on Sunday evening when they host Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
