UPDATE: The Warriors won by a score of 97-84, and Steph Curry finished with 15 points, two rebounds, five assists and one steal.

On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Charlotte Hornets at the Chase Center in San Francisco.   

During the game, Steph Curry made NBA history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor (23,149) for 33rd on the all-time scoring list.     

Following Baylor, the next player for Curry to pass will be Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade (23,165).  

Curry entered the evening with averages of 28.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 42.2% from the three-point range in 51 games.    

Last weekend, the superstar guard played in his tenth NBA All-Star Game, and even at 35 years old, he is still among the best players in the league. 

Earlier this month, Curry scored 60 points in a game against the Atlanta Hawks. 

Since the Warriors are playing the Hornets, Curry is also going up against his brother Seth. 

The Warriors got off to a slow start to the season but are playing well this month and have gone 8-2 over their last ten games. 

They are currently the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 28-26 record in 54 games (and in the middle of a two-game winning streak). 

Following their matchup with the Hornets, the Warriors will host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Sunday at the Chase Center. 

As for the Hornets, they are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 14-41 record in 55 games. 

That said, they are in the middle of a four-game winning streak.
