Before the game, the team is reportedly signing a new player, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Via Wojnarowski: "The Toronto Raptors are signing G League G/F Joe Wieskamp to a 10-day contract, his agents Kyle McAlarney and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Wieskamp played 29 games with the Spurs a season ago."

In 29 games with the Spurs, Wieskamp averaged 2.1 points per contest during the 2021-22 season.

The 23-year-old was the 41st overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Iowa.

In college, he had a phenomenal career with the Hawkeyes.

Over three seasons, he played in 97 games and had averages of 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest (he also shot 41.2% from the three-point range).

As for the Raptors, they come into Friday's matchup with a 16-22 record in 38 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last ten games.

However, the Raptors have been a solid team at home, with an 11-9 record in the 20 games they have hosted in Canada.
