On Tuesday evening, the Atlanta Hawks will be in Michigan to face off against the Detroit Pistons.  

For the game, they will be without their best player, as Trae Young has been ruled out.

Young has played in nine games this season and is averaging 24.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 10.2 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.  

The Hawks are 5-4 in their first nine games and most recently lost to the Miami Heat by a score of 117-109 on Saturday evening at State Farm Arena in Georgia.  

In 38 minutes, Young put up 27 points, two rebounds, 11 assists and one steal while shooting 7/19 from the field and 3/9 from the three-point range. 

This is Young's sixth season in the NBA, and he is coming off a year where he averaged 26.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 10.2 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field. 

He is a two-time NBA All-Star and has established himself among the best point guards in the league. 

Following the Pistons, the Hawks will play their next game on Wednesday when they host the New York Knicks in Atlanta. 

As for the Pistons, they are 2-9 in their first 11 games and in the middle of an eight-game losing streak. 

Most recently, they lost to the Chicago Bulls by a score of 119-108 on Sunday evening in Illinois. 

Following the Hawks, they will play their next game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday in Ohio.
