Brooklyn Nets Fans Will Love What Ben Simmons Posted To Instagram
Ben Simmons is coming off a year where he appeared in 42 regular season games for the Brooklyn Nets.
The former LSU star averaged 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 56.6% from the field.
At one point, Simmons was among the best players in the NBA, but he has dealt with injuries over the previous few seasons.
On Saturday, the Nets held an open practice at Barclays Center, and Simmons made a post to Instagram with photos from the event.
Simmons captioned his post: "Home Team 🏙️"
Simmons was initially the first pick int the 2016 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball.
In three out of his first four seasons, he made the All-Star Game (as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers).
However, the team was unable to get out of the second round of the NBA playoffs during that span.
Last year was his first season playing for the Nets, who traded for him in the middle of the 2021-22 season.
Over five seasons in the NBA, Simmons has career averages of 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 56.0% from the field in 317 regular season games (he has also appeared in 34 NBA playoff games with the 76ers).
As for the Nets, they are coming off a year where they were the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They made the NBA playoffs but got swept in the first round by Joel Embiid and the 76ers.
