Brooklyn Nets Officially Announce Trade With Detroit Pistons
Joe Harris turned himself into on of the best role players in the NBA over his seven seasons playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
This past year, the former Virginia star averaged 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 42.6% from the three-point range in 74 regular season games.
On Thursday, the Nets officially announced that Harris had been traded to the Detroit Pistons.
Via Nets PR: "OFFICIAL: The Brooklyn Nets have traded guard/forward Joe Harris and second round draft picks in 2027 (via Dallas) and 2029 (via Milwaukee) to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for cash considerations."
In addition to the Nets, Harris has also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He has career averages of 10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 48.0% from the field and 43.7% from the three-point range in 488 regular season games (he has also played in 29 NBA Playoff games).
Following the deal's announcement, the Nets released a statement from general manager Sean Marks.
