Harry Giles last played in the NBA during the 2021 season when he was a member of the Portland Trail Blazers.

That year, the former Duke star averaged 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 34.8% from the three-point range in 38 regular season games.

This summer, Giles remained a free agent, and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype recently reported that he would sign a deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

On September 6, the 25-year-old officially signed with Brooklyn.

Giles was initially the 20th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, and he spent the first two seasons of his career with the franchise.

His career averages are 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 51.1% from the field and 25.8% from the three-point range in 142 regular season games (he has also appeared in one NBA playoff game with Portland).

As for the Nets, they are coming off a year where they were the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-37 record.

They came into the year seen as contenders but traded away superstars Kyrie Irving (to the Dallas Mavericks) and Kevin Durant (to the Phoenix Suns).

Unsurprisingly, the Nets got swept by James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

At this point, the Nets have a competitive roster but are in rebuilding mode, so Giles is an intriguing addition to their roster.
