Jayson Tatum Reveals Who He Thinks Is The Best Player In The NBA
On Thursday, ESPN released an interview that Malika Andrews did with several of the best young All-Stars in the NBA.
During the interview, she asked who the best player in the NBA is right now, and Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum gave an intriguing answer.
Andrews: "Who's the best player in the game right now?"
Tatum: "If I had to pick, I think I might say Giannis. How he impacts both sides, scoring, rebounding, how hard he plays. We all have off-nights, but I feel like when he has an off-night, it's still 25 and 15 instead of 40 and 20, and he's won, he's won a championship."
Tatum and the Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 NBA Playoffs (in Game 7 of the second round).
Right now, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest in 47 games (while shooting 53.8% from the field).
In 2021, he led the Bucks to the NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns, and he already has a first-ballot Hall of Fame resume at just 28 years old.
The former 15th overall pick has won two MVPs, the Finals MVP and a Defensive Player of The Year Award.
Currently, the Bucks are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-17 record in 58 games.
They are the hottest team in the league and in the middle of a 12-game winning streak.
Tatum's Celtics are just a half-game in front of the Bucks, with a 42-17 record in 59 games.
