UPDATE: Chicago Bulls Make A Roster Move

The Chicago Bulls have assigned a player to the G League.

UPDATE: Julian Phillips has been recalled to the Chicago Bulls.

On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls lost to the Orlando Magic (at home) by a score of 96-94.

Julian Phillips played four minutes, and on Thursday, the Bulls assigned him to their G League affiliate (the Windy City Bulls).

Via The Windy City Bulls: "The @ChicagoBulls have assigned forward Julian Phillips to the Windy City Bulls."

Phillips was the 35th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Tennessee and has played in five games for the Bulls this season.

Last season (in college), he averaged 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field.

As for the Bulls, they are 4-8 in their first 12 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and 3-4 in the seven games they have hosted on their home floor at the United Center.

The Bulls will play their next game against the Magic (again) at home on Friday.

Last season, the Bulls were the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-42 record.

They beat the Toronto Raptors in their first play-in tournament game, but lost to the Miami Heat in the second, so they missed the NBA playoffs for the fifth time in the previous six seasons.

While the Bulls have struggled, they have a very talented roster that is led by Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic.

Following Friday's matchup, the Bulls will host the Miami Heat on Saturday and Monday before heading on the road.
