Chicago Bulls Will Reportedly Release This Player
The Chicago Bulls have been in the news several times over the last 24 hours.
On Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that they would sign veteran point guard Patrick Beverley, and on Tuesday, the team announced that star point guard Lonzo Ball has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Another roster move appears to be on the horizon, as Wojnarowski reports that in order to make room for Beverley, the Bulls will waive Tony Bradley.
Wojnarowski: "The Chicago Bulls are expected to waive center Tony Bradley today to clear a roster spot to sign guard Patrick Beverley, sources tell ESPN. There are still teams in the market for a reserve center and Bradley may end up with a landing spot this season."
Bradley is in his sixth season in the NBA and is currently averaging 1.6 points per contest in 12 games.
In addition to the Bulls, he has also had stints with the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
He was the 28th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and is only 25 years old, so he is still young enough for teams to take a chance on.
The best season of his career came in 2021 when he played for the 76ers and Thunder and averaged 7.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest in 42 games.
As for the Bulls, they have had a disappointing season and are 26-33 in 59 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.
