On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco.  

Chris Paul is playing in his 1,231st career regular season game, which has tied Andre Iguodala for 39th on the all-time list

Following Iguodala, the next player for Paul to pass will be Kyle Korver (1,232).  

Paul came into the evening with averages of 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point range. 

The Warriors are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 7-9 record in their first 16 games. 

They are 2-8 in their last ten games and most recently lost to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 123-115. 

In 17 minutes of playing time, Paul had six points, two rebounds and six assists while shooting 1/2 from the field (he was ejected in the first half). 

Paul is in his 19th season in the NBA (his first with Golden State) and is coming off a year where he averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in 59 games for the Suns.

He is one of the best point guards of all time and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.   

In addition to the Warriors and Suns, Paul has also played for the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers.
