Chris Paul's Viral Instagram Post After Warriors-Suns Game
On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.
Despite the Warriors making the game close in the final seconds, the Suns won by a score of 123-115.
Chris Paul, who was with the Suns for the previous three seasons before getting traded to the Warriors over the offseason, got ejected during the first half.
He finished his night with six points, two rebounds and six assists while shooting 1/2 from the field in 17 minutes of playing time.
After the game, Paul made a post to Instagram.
Paul captioned his post: "Thank you to The Valley for 3 AMAZING years!!!
My apologies for the early exit tonite…..🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️"
When Paul joined the Suns in 2020, they had missed the NBA playoffs for ten straight seasons.
During his time with the franchise, they made the NBA Finals in 2021 (and the playoffs in all three years).
Paul is now averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point range.
With the loss to the Suns, the Warriors fell to 7-9 in their first 16 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 2-8 in their last ten games and 5-3 in the eight games they have played on the road.
The Warriors will play their next game on Friday evening when they host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
