Cleveland Cavaliers Make 2 Roster Moves After Sunday's Game
On Sunday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Houston Rockets 108-91 at home in Ohio.
With the win, the Cavs clinched a spot in the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season.
In addition, it is their first time making the playoffs without LeBron James on the roster since 1998 (via StatMuse).
Following the game, the Cavs made two roster moves by assigning Sam Merrill and Dylan Windler to the Canton Charge (according to the G League's official transaction page).
Both players played two minutes in the win over the Rockets, and they have both appeared in three games for the Cavs this season.
In the G League, Windler is averaging 12.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest over 11 regular season games.
Meanwhile, Merrill has played in 22 regular season (G League) games with averages of 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.
The Cavs will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena in Georgia.
They are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 48-28 record in 76 games.
Over the last ten games, the Cavs have gone 8-2, and they are in the middle of a four-game winning streak.
That said, they are just 18-20 in the 38 games they have played on the road away from Cleveland, Ohio.
Last season, the Cavs finished as the eighth seed but lost in the play-in tournament.
