During the regular season, Jimmy Butler is an All-Star and All-Defensive type of talent for the Miami Heat. In the playoffs though, Jimmy Butler elevates his play to an MVP-like level.

Not only did Butler carry the Heat in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament to get into the playoffs, but he has once again elevated his play to an insane level, this time making the 1-seeded Milwaukee Bucks his casualties.

After scoring 56 points in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead, Butler  had himself yet another crazy performance with 42 points in Game 5 on Wednesday night, a game the Heat won 128-126 in overtime to win the series thanks to their All-Star.

Jimmy Butler's performance in this series has been masterclass and many, including the likes of Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard and Golden State Warriors four-time champion Andre Iguodala, went on to Twitter to acknowledge Butler's play.

Winning this series against the Bucks in five games, the Miami Heat became just the sixth 8-seed in league history to defeat a 1-seed in the opening round of the playoffs and Butler himself made history with his 96 combined points in Games 4 and 5 of this series.

Jimmy Butler became just the seventh player in NBA history to record at least 95 points in a two-game span in the playoffs, joining the likes of Michael Jordan (8 spans, high of 112 points), Jerry West (3 spans, high of 101 points), Elgin Baylor (2 spans, high of 99 points), Kevin Durant (95 points, 2019), Rick Barry (98 points, 1967) and Wilt Chamberlain (95 points, 1960).

There is nobody in the entire league as hot as Jimmy Butler is right now and he will carry this momentum with him into the Eastern Conference Semifinals where the Heat will take on the New York Knicks with a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line.
