On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York City.

During the game, D'Angelo Russell made Lakers history by moving ahead of Kyle Kuzma (510) for seventh on the team's all-time three-pointers list.

Following Kuzma, the next player for Russell to pass will be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (522).

Russell came into the evening with averages of 18.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest while shooting 45.9% from the field and 42.0% from the three-point range in 68 games.

He also made NBA history during the game by becoming the 397th player to reach 10,000 career points.

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 41-33 record in 74 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Indiana Pacers by a score of 109-90.

Following their matchup with the Nets, the Lakers will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit the Toronto Raptors in Canada.

Russell was the second pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Ohio State and is in his second tenure with Los Angeles.

In addition to the Lakers, he has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Minneosta Timberwolves over nine seasons.

His career averages are 17.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 43.0% from the field and 36.9% from the three-point range in 563 regular season games (he has also appeared in 27 NBA playoff games).
