D'Angelo Russell Made NBA History In Raptors-Lakers Game

D'Angelo Russell moved up on the NBA's all-time three-pointers list.

UPDATE: D'Angelo Russell has tied Allan Houston for 66th on the all-time three-pointers list.  

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Toronto Raptors in California.  

During the game, D'Angelo Russell made NBA history by moving ahead of Mike Dunleavy (1,304) for sole possession of 67th on the all-time three-pointers list.

Following Dunleavy, the next player for Russell to pass will be Allan Houston (1,305). 

Russell came into the evening with averages of 14.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 33 games.    

The Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with an 18-19 record in their first 37 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 106-103.  

In 31 minutes of playing time, Russell had 13 points, six assists, one steal and one block. 

Following the Raptors, the Lakers will host Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns on Thursday evening in Los Angeles, California. 

At home, they are 12-6 in 18 games. 

Russell was the second pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Ohio State and is in his ninth season in the league. 

He is in his second tenure with the Lakers and has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves. 

His career averages are 17.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 42.8% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 528 regular season games (he has also appeared in 27 NBA playoff games).
