Darvin Ham's Bold Quote After Lakers Lose To Warriors
On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers were blown out by the Golden State Warriors (127-100) in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
The Lakers won the first game, so the series is now tied up at 1-1, going back to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.
After the tough loss, head coach Darvin Ham met with the media and is confident in his team's ability to bounce back in Game 3 on Saturday night.
Ham: "I fully anticipate our team to respond in the right way."
Anthony Davis had 30 points and 23 rebounds in Game 1 but only had 11 points and seven rebounds on Thursday night.
In addition, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry combined to score 50 points on 11/16 shooting from the three-point range (69%) and the entire starting lineup for the Warriors scored in double-digits.
The Lakers fell apart in the second and third quarters, losing the 24-minute stretch by 37 points (they had taken a seven-point first-quarter lead).
In the first round, the Lakers had the same exact scenario where they beat the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 on the road but lost Game 2, going back to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 (they won both on their home floor).
The Warriors have struggled on the road this season, going just 13-32 in 45 games away from the Chase Center.
That said, they won both Games 5 and 7 against the Sacramento Kings on the road in the first round.
