DeMar DeRozan Made NBA History In Bulls-Nets Game

On Sunday evening, the Chicago Bulls are in New York facing off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.
DeMar DeRozan is playing in his 1,048th career regular season game, which tied Leroy Ellis for 115th on the all-time list.
Following Ellis, the next player for DeRozan to pass will be Rashard Lewis (1,049).

DeRozan came into the evening with averages of 21.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range in 16 games.
The Bulls are 5-12 in their first 17 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Toronto Raptors by a score of 121-108.
In 39 minutes of playing time, DeRozan had 19 points, three rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 7/16 from the field.
Following the Nets, the Bulls will play their next game when they visit Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics on Tuesday evening in Massachusetts.

DeRozan was the ninth pick in the 2009 NBA Draft out of USC and is in his 15th season in the league.
In addition to the Bulls, he has also played for the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs.
The six-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 21.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 29.3% from the three-point range.
