Domantas Sabonis Dunked On Rudy Gobert In Timberwolves-Kings Game
On Saturday evening, the Sacramento Kings hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in California.
During the second half, Domantas Sabonis dunked on Rudy Gobert, and the play went viral on social media.
Immediately after catching the ball, Sabonis drove straight to the basket and dunked as Gobert tried to defend the rim.
Gobert is a three-time NBA Defensive Player of The Year, which makes the highlight even more impressive.
Despite the big highlight, Gobert and the Timberwolves were able to win the game on the road by a score of 110-98.
Gobert finished the night with 21 points, 17 rebounds, one assist and two blocks while shooting 10/13 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time.
With the victory, the Timberwolves improved to 22-6 in their first 28 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and 10-5 in the 15 games they have played on the road.
Following the Kings, the Timberwolves will visit Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Sabonis finished his night with 17 points, ten rebounds, ten assists and one steal while shooting 7/12 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time.
With the loss, the Kings fell to 17-11 in their first 28 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
They will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit Deandre Ayton and the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
