Donovan Mitchell's Official Injury Status For Cavs-Jazz Game

On Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face off against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

For the game, the Cavs will be without their best player, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out.

Via Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com: " Donovan Mitchell has been added to the injury report tonight against the Utah Jazz. He is OUT because of left knee injury management. Cleveland is playing the first game of a back-to-back tonight. It will be in Phoenix tomorrow for a national TV showdown with the Suns."

Mitchell is having another extremely productive season with averages of 26.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 36.9% from the three-point range in 51 games.

The Cavs enter the evening as the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-30 record in 75 games.

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 130-101.

Following their matchup with the Jazz, the Cavs will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.

As for the Jazz, they enter the matchup as the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 29-46 record in 75 games.

They are in the middle of a nine-game losing streak.

Following the Cavs, the Jazz will play their next game on Friday evening when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers in California.
