Draymond Green's Blunt Statement After Warriors-Grizzlies Game
On Monday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 116-107 (in Tennessee).
Draymond Green made his return to action after a 16-game absence and had seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 2/4 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time off the bench.
After the game, Green met with the media and was honest in his reaction to the loss (h/t Warriors on NBCS).
Green: "Our closeouts was too soft, our rotations was too slow, so it's just no pride. Until every guy take pride in themselves and want to stop the guy in front of them, we'll suck."
Green has played in 16 games and is averaging 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field and 44.2% from the three-point range.
With the loss, the Warriors fell to 18-22 in their first 40 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
On the road, the Warriors dropped to 7-11 in the 18 games they have played away from the Chase Center.
Following the Grizzlies, they will play the final game of their road trip against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday evening in Salt Lake City.
As for the Grizzlies, they improved to 15-25 in their first 40 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
