Anthony Bennett was the first pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

At the time, the former UNLV star was seen as a surprise to be selected so high in the draft.

He played one season of college basketball with the Rebels and averaged 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 53.3% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range.

However (despite being the first pick), the 30-year-old last played in the NBA during the 2017 season.

Recently, MK Sports reported that Bennett has signed with the Sono Skygunners (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).

Bennett only ended up playing one season for the Cavs because he was sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the trade that landed them Kevin Love.

Following the Timberwolves, he also played for the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets.

His career averages are 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 39.2% from the field and 26.1% from the three-point range in 151 regular season games (he never appeared in an NBA playoff game).

Arguably the best year of his career came with the Timberwolves when he averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field in 57 games.

In addition to his time in the NBA and overseas, Bennett has also played four seasons in the G League.

His career averages were 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 42.2% from the three-point range in 68 games.
