Giannis Antetokounmpo's Viral Post On X After Bucks-Lakers Game
On Sunday, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks played the Los Angeles Lakers in California.
The Bucks won the game by a score of 108-97 to improve to 2-1 in their first three preseason games.
Antetokounmpo made his preseason debut (so did Damian Lillard), and it was their first time on the floor together.
The star duo combined for 30 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Following the victory, Antetokounmpo posted a photo to X.
His post had over 32,000 likes and 1.4 million impressions in less than 48 hours.
Antetokounmpo captioned his post: "The season can't start soon enough 🦌💪🏾"
The Bucks are coming off a season where they were the first seed in the Eastern Conference and had the best record in the NBA (58-24).
Antetokounmpo had another sensational year with averages of 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field.
However, he only played in two full NBA playoff games, and the Bucks lost to the Miami Heat in the first round in five games.
The addition of Lillard gives the Bucks arguably the most talented roster in the Eastern Conference.
He had spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers and is coming off a season where he averaged 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.
The Bucks will play their first game of the regular season on October 26 when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.
