Golden State Warriors Make 2 Roster Moves
On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets (on the road) by a score of 108-105.
They are now 6-3 in their first nine games, which has them tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the third seed in the Western Conference.
The Warriors will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
On Thursday, the team announced that they had assigned rookies Trayce Jackson-Davis and Brandin Podziemski to the Santa Cruz Warriors (G League).
Via Warriors PR: "Warriors assign Trayce Jackson-Davis & Brandin Podziemski to Santa Cruz. Both players are expected to play in Santa Cruz’s season opener tomorrow night when the Warriors host the Stockton Kings at Kaiser Permanente Arena (7 p.m. PDT tipoff)."
Jackson-Davis was the 57th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Indiana.
He has played in six games this season and is averaging 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 60.0% from the field.
Meanwhile, Podziemski was the 19th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Santa Clara.
He has played in four games this season and is averaging 2.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field.
The Warriors are 1-1 in the two games they have hosted at the Chase Center and an impressive 5-2 in seven games on the road.
Last season, they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
