Golden State Warriors Make Roster Move Before Jazz Game
On Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors will host the Utah Jazz at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
Before the game, the Warriors announced that they had made a roster move by recalling Gui Santos from the Santa Cruz Warriors (G League).
Via Golden State Warriors PR: "The Golden State Warriors have recalled forward Gui Santos from the team's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today."
Santos was the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and this is his first season playing for Golden State.
He is averaging 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point range in 20 games.
In addition to Golden State, Santos has spent a lot of time playing in the G League for Santa Cruz and averaged 15.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range in 17 regular season games.
He has also appeared in 15 Showcase Cup games.
As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference (the final play-in tournament spot) with a 42-35 record in 77 games.
They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 108-106 (in Texas).
Following the Jazz, the Warriors will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit LeBron James and the Lakers in Los Angeles, California.
