Steph Curry's Amazing Tweet Before NBA Draft Is Going Viral
On Thursday evening, the 2023 NBA Draft is being held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The night will feature 58 players getting their names called to be drafted into the NBA, while there are also typically many trades.
Before the Draft, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry tweeted a video, and his post is going viral.
There were over one million impressions and 10,000 likes in less than five hours.
Curry captioned the video: "Don’t just prove them wrong. Prove yourself right. #UnderratedFilm streaming July 21 http://apple.co/underratedfilm @AppleFIlms"
The video in the tweet previews the upcoming film "Stephen Curry: Underrated," which is scheduled to be released on July 21.
In the preview, Hall of Famer Reggie Miller is reading out loud all of the things that critics were saying about Curry before the 2009 NBA Draft.
The former Davidson star ended up being selected with the seventh pick by the Warriors, and he will go down as the best draft pick in franchise history.
Over 14 seasons with the Warriors, Curry has led the team to the NBA Finals six times (and they have won four NBA Championships).
In addition, he has made the All-Star Game nine times and won two MVPs.
This past year, the Warriors were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the Playoffs (in six games).
Curry finished the regular season with sensational averages of 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.
