Immanuel Quickley's Viral Post On X After Knicks-Raptors Trade
UPDATE: Immanuel Quickley has officially been traded to the Toronto Raptors.
On Saturday evening, the New York Knicks will face off against the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.
Before the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks made a trade with the Toronto Raptors.
As part of the trade, Immanuel Quickley will go to Toronto.
He is currently averaging 15.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 39.5% from the three-point range in 30 games.
After the news came out, the former Kentucky star sent out a post on X that went viral.
The post had over 39,000 likes and 3.1 million impressions in less than two hours.
Quickley wrote: "Oh my goodness…."
Quickley was the 25th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and is in his fourth season in the league.
He has helped lead the Knicks to the NBA playoffs in two of the previous three seasons.
His career averages are 12.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 37.0% from the three-point range in 253 regular season games (he has also appeared in 13 NBA playoff games).
As for the Raptors, they are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-19 record in their first 31 games.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Boston Celtics by a score of 120-118 (on Friday).
On Saturday evening, the Raptors will be in Michigan to face off against Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons.
