Jae Crowder's Viral Tweet After Getting Traded To The Bucks
On Thursday, the NBA trading deadline ended at 3 P.M., and plenty of teams around the league made deals.
Jae Crowder, who has not played in a game this season, was reportedly traded twice.
First, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he was sent from the Phoenix Suns to the Brooklyn Nets in the Kevin Durant trade.
Less than three hours before the end of the trading deadline, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Crowder was sent from the Nets to the Milwaukee Bucks.
After the trade was announced, the veteran forward sent out a tweet, which is going viral on Twitter.
The post has over 32,000 likes and three million impressions.
Crowder tweeted: "CUT OFF MY FINGER TO SAVE MY HAND… 99 BACK AGAIN.!!"
Before the season, it had been reported (by Charania) that Crowder would be away from the Suns in a mutual decision as they looked to trade him.
Crowder lands in a great spot, as the Bucks are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-17 record in 54 games.
They are in the middle of an eight-game winning streak and only 1.5 games out of the first seed.
The former Marquette star will be playing his 11th season in the NBA and has also spent time with the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies.
He is 32 years old and has career averages of 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 735 regular season games.
