Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who Murray was talking about, finished his night with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block while shooting 8/17 from the field and 2/5 from the three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time.
With the victory, the Nuggets improved to 10-4 in their first 14 games, which has them tied for the second seed in the Western Conference.
They also snapped a two-game losing streak after back-to-back losses to the New Orleans Pelicans and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Following the Pistons, the Nuggets will play their next game against the Orlando Magic (in Florida) on Wednesday evening.
