On Sunday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will host the Portland Trail Blazers in Pennsylvania for their third game of the regular season.

The 76ers are 1-1 in their first two games and most recently defeated the Toronto Raptors 114-107 on Saturday. 

James Harden, who has yet to make his season debut, has also been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Harden is coming off a season where he averaged a fantastic 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 58 games. 

The 76ers were the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 record and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs. 

However, they lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round (in seven games). 

Harden was the third pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, and this will be his 15th season in the league.  

His career averages are 24.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 1,000 regular season games.  

Following the Trail Blazers, the 76ers will play their fourth game of the season when they host the Raptors on Thursday night. 

As for the Trail Blazers, they are 0-2 and coming off a 102-97 loss against the Orlando Magic. 

Last season, they were the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-49 record and missed the NBA playoffs for the second straight season.
