Jayson Tatum's Intriguing Instagram Story After Celtics-Raptors Game
On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics faced off against the Toronto Raptors in Canada.
The Celtics won the game by a score of 105-96, and all five starters scored in double-digits.
After the game, Jayson Tatum made a post to his Instagram story with a photo revealing that Raptors point guard Dennis Schroder gave him his jersey.
Schroder wrote: "Go get that chip this year."
Schroder and Tatum were teammates for 49 games during the 2021-22 season.
Tatum finished his night with 19 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block while shooting 7/19 from the field and 1/6 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
He is now averaging 27.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 37.3% from the three-point range in 37 games.
With the victory over the Raptors, the Celtics improved to 31-9 in their first 40 games, which has them as the first seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.
Following the Raptors, the Celtics will host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday evening in Boston.
At home, they are a perfect 19-0.
As for the Raptors, they dropped to 15-25 in their first 40 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
