Jimmy Butler's Viral Quote About LeBron James After Lakers-Heat Game
On Monday evening, the Miami Heat hosted the Los Angeles Lakers at the Kaseya Center in Florida.
The Heat won the game by a score of 108-107, and Jimmy Butler led the way with 28 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals while shooting 9/15 from the field and 3/4 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
Following the game, Butler met with the media (h/t Zach Weinberger of ClutchPoints) and shared a fantastic quote about LeBron James, who had 30 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks while shooting 13/23 from the field in 37 minutes.
Butler: "I respect LeBron so much. Arguably the greatest player of all time. And I really enjoy going up against him all of these years, no matter what uniform he was in. It was always a constant battle, and I will say that he's gotten the best of me whenever it counts. But I think it's a privilege to play against him, to be able to guard him, just being able to compete and learn so much at the same time, but more often than not, just compete."
Butler is averaging 19.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 50.0% from the three-point range in six games.
The Heat are now 3-4 in their first seven games and will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Marcus Smart and the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee.
