UPDATE: Joel Embiid's Status For Trail Blazers-76ers Game

On Sunday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Portland Trail Blazers in Pennsylvania.
The 76ers enter the night with a 1-1 record in their first two games and are coming off a 114-107 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
For Sunday's game, they could be without their best player, as Joel Embiid is questionable.

Embiid has played in each of the team's first two games, and against the Raptors, he had 34 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two blocks.
Last season, the former Kansas star was the 2023 MVP and averaged a sensational 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 54.8% from the field.
The 76ers were the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 record and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
However, they lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round (in seven games).
Following the Trail Blazers, the 76ers will host the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night.
As for the Trail Blazers, they are 0-2 in their first two games and coming off a 102-97 loss to the Orlando Magic (at home in Oregon).
Shaedon Sharpe led the team with 24 points, while Deandre Ayton had 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Last season, the Trail Blazers were the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-49 record.
They missed the NBA playoffs for the second straight season.
