Joel Embiid's Current Injury Status For Nets-76ers Game

On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia 76ers will host the Brooklyn Nets in Pennsylvania.
For the game, the 76ers could be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid is on the injury report.

Embiid has only played in 39 games this season.
However, he has had a fantastic year with averages of 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field and 38.8% from the three-point range.
The 76ers are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-35 record in 81 games.
They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a seven-game winning streak.
Most recently, the 76ers beat the Orlando Magic by a score of 125-113.
In 32 minutes of playing time, Embiid put up 32 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and one block while shooting 10/23 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range.
As for the Nets, they are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-49 record in 81 games.
They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the New York Knicks (at Madison Square Garden) by a score of 111-107.
Last season, the Nets lost to the 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in four games).
The Nets will not qualify for the 2024 NBA playoffs (or the play-in tournament).
