Boston Celtics Player Earned A $350,000 Contract Bonus
On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics will play the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.
They come into the night as the best team in the NBA with a 58-16 record in 74 games.
One of the biggest reasons for the team's success has been Jrue Holiday, who was traded to the Celtics (via the Portland Trail Blazers) over the offseason.
On March 30, ESPN's Bobby Marks reported that Holiday had earned a significant contract bonus.
Via Marks: "Bonus Alert
Jrue Holiday
Minutes played: $354,960
This is the seventh year in a row that Holiday has reached the minutes bonus criteria."
Holiday is currently averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest while shooting 48.5% from the field and 44.7% from the three-point range in 63 games.
He has been an excellent fit playing alongside Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White.
The Celtics have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently defeated Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans (on the road) by a score of 104-92.
Holiday had 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block while shooting 5/10 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in 35 mintues of playing time.
Following the Hornets, the Celtics will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder in Boston.
Holiday was the 17th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and is in his 15th season in the league.
He has also spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
