Kawhi Leonard's Official Injury Status For Cavs-Clippers Game
On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers will host the Cleveland Cavaliers in California.
For the game, the Clippers will be without their best player, as two-time NBA Champion Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out.
Leonard has missed each of the previous three games, so this will be his fourth straight out of the starting lineup.
Via ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk on Saturday: "Kawhi Leonard remains out as he maintains right knee with treatment and recovery. After Sunday’s game against Cleveland, Clippers play a back-to-back away and home against Phoenix."
Leonard has had another incredible season with averages of 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 41.7% from the three-point range in 68 games.
The Clippers are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 49-28 record in 77 games.
They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
Following their matchup with the Cavs, the Clippers will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they travel to Arizona for a showdown with Kevin Durant and the Suns.
As for the Cavs, they are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-32 record in 78 games.
They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
Following their matchup with Los Angeles, the Cavs will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
