On Wednesday evening, the Phoenix Suns are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in Arizona.

Kevin Durant is playing in his 997th career regular season game, which passes Hall of Famer Dolph Schayes and ties Hedo Türkoğlu for 148th on the all-time regular season games played list.

Following Türkoğlu, the next two players for Durant to pass will be Glen Rice and (1,000) and Nicolas Batum (1,000), who are both tied for 146th.

Durant came into the evening with averages of 30.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 49.8% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range in ten games.

The Suns are 4-6 in their first ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 111-99, and Durant had 28 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 7/18 from the field.

Following the Timberwolves, the Suns will play their next game against the Utah Jazz on Friday evening in Salt Lake City.

This is Durant's first full year playing with the Suns after getting traded (via the Brooklyn Nets) during the middle of last season.

He is one of the best players of all time and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

In addition to the Suns and Nets, Durant has also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors.

The two-time NBA Champion has career averages of 27.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest.
