Kevin Durant's Viral Quote About Nikola Jokic After Nuggets Eliminate Suns

Kevin Durant had a great quote about Nikola Jokic after the Denver Nuggets eliminated the Phoenix Suns.

On Thursday evening, the Phoenix Suns had their season come to an end when they lost 125-100 (at home) to the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the second-round playoff series.

The Nuggets will now advance to the Western Conference Finals and face off against the winner of the Warriors-Lakers series.

Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic finished the six games against the Suns with incredible averages of 34.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, 10.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 59.4% from the field and 44.4% from the three-point range.

After Game 6, two-time NBA Champion Kevin Durant spoke highly of Jokic when asked by a reporter about going up against him in a series (the full question and answer can be watched here).

Durant: "Jokic is a all-time great, gonna go down as one of the all-time great centers to ever touch a basketball. He went out there and did what he was supposed to do."

Durant began his season with the Brooklyn Nets and was traded to the Suns in February.

He helped them finish as the fourth seed in the Western Conference and they beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs (in five games).

That said, they had to play without star point guard Chris Paul for the final four games against the Nuggets (and starting center Deandre Ayton missed Game 6).

Losing in the second round is a massive disappointment, and the Suns will likely be one of the most talked about teams over the offseason as the organization has several different ways they can go moving forward.
