Klay Thompson Made NBA History In Heat-Warriors Game

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Miami Heat at the Chase Center.
During the game, Klay Thomson made NBA history by moving up on the all-time scoring list.
Thompson moved ahead of Dan Issel (14,659) for 158th on the list.
Following Issel, the next player for Thompson to pass will be Richie Guerin (14,676).

Thompson came into the evening with averages of 17.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 42.6% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range in 29 games.
He got off to a slow start to the season but has been playing better over the last month.
The Warriors are 15-15 in their first 30 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets by a score of 120-114.
In 32 minutes of playing time, Thompson had nine points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block while shooting 3/12 from the field and 3/10 from the three-point range.

Thompson was the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and has spent his entire career with Golden State.
The future Hall of Famer has made five All-Star Games and helped lead the Warriors to four NBA Championships.
His career averages are 19.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 41.5% from the three-point range in 745 games.
