On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors hosted the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The Warriors won the game by a score of 118-112, and Steph Curry led the way with 35 points in 35 minutes.

Klay Thompson, who has gotten off to a slow start to the season, finished his night with 15 points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 3/11 from the field and 3/7 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.

During the first half, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reported that Thompson showed frustration.

Via Johnson: "Klay Thompson is super frustrated right now. Kicks a chair, throws two towels down the sidelines and heads to the locker room as the first half ends"

Thompson is one of the best shooting guards of all time and has career averages of 19.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 41.5% from the three-point range.

The five-time NBA All-Star has spent his entire career with Golden State, and this summer, he will be a free agent.

He still remains one of the most important players on the team and the Warriors will need him to have a good season in order to contend for a title.

Over the previous nine seasons, Thompson has helped lead the Warriors to the NBA Finals six times (and they won four titles in that span).

With the victory over the Spurs, the Warriors improved to 8-9 in their first 17 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

They will play their next game on Tuesday evening in Sacramento against the Kings.
