On Tuesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York.  

During the game, Kyrie Irving had a huge highlight that went viral on social media.

Josh Green lobbed a pass to Irving, who finished off the alley-oop with a massive dunk.  

Irving was traded to the Mavs (via the Nets) during the middle of last season, so this is his first game back in Brooklyn. 

The former Duke star entered the evening with averages of 25.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 47.5% from the field and 41.5% from the three-point range. 

Right now, the Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 27-23 record in 50 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and coming off a 118-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. 

Irving had 23 points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block while shooting 10/17 from the field and 2/3 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Nets, the Mavs will remain in New York City to face off against the New York Knicks on Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden. 

As for the Nets, they are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 20-29 record in 49 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Golden State Warriors by a score of 109-98. 

Following the Mavs, the Nets will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday evening in Ohio.
