Kyrie Irving's Miraculous Finish Over Victor Wembanyama Went Viral In Spurs-Mavs Game

Kyrie Irving had an incredible finish over Victor Wembanyama during Wednesday's game.

UPDATE: The Mavs won by a score of 116-93, and Kyrie Irving finished with 34 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block.

On Wednesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the San Antonio Spurs (at home).

During the second half, Kyrie Irving had an incredible finish over Victor Wembanyama that went viral on social media.

The 2016 NBA Champion drove to the basket and dropped in a layup as he fell to the ground (going in the opposite direction).

Wembanyama is coming off a game where he blocked ten shots and is one of the best rim protectors in the league, which makes the highlight even more impressive.

Irving is one of the best finishers in NBA history, so he has had a long list of highlights around the rim during his 13 seasons in the league.

The former Duke star entered the evening with averages of 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 41.3% from the three-point range in 32 games.

Right now, the Mavs are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 31-23 record in 54 games.

They have been playing some of their best basketball of the season and are 7-3 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game winning streak.

Following the Spurs, the Mavs will host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns on February 22.

Irving is in his second season with the Mavs and has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.

He is an eight-time NBA All-Star and will likely be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
